「我們來作跟Gibson Custom Shop相同vintage外觀的Epiphone，但有個讓人可以接受的價格點怎麼樣？」從此觀點出發，作為Gibson吉他副廠的Epiphone近期也推出1959 Les Paul Standard新款復古吉他。

「我們的Epiphone產品研發組和Gibson Custom Shop合作，以Les Paul的經典型號作為啟發，創造出這個新款產品。」Gibson Custom Shop 的產品研發經理Mat Koehler表示。

Epiphone近期和Gibson Custom Shop的團隊合作推出新的1959 Les Paul Standard，也是Epiphone首次Vintage系列合作，這把限量Epiphone 1959 Les Paul™ Standard琴身為桃花心木(Mahogany) ，面板則為Maple Top（楓木面板），且選用AAA等級的木材。

顏色則有Aged Dark Burst（深色爆裂）和Aged Dark Cherry Burst（黑櫻桃）兩種。

「就像我們過去有過的許多合作款一樣，我們可以將這些優秀的吉他怪傑（Guitar Geek）整併在一起，且將Custom Shop系列現給喜歡Epiphone的大眾們。」
